Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This policy describes how Scan Tech Security handles information associated with this website. It does not describe separate customer systems, monitoring platforms, or third-party services that may have their own notices and agreements.
Information you choose to provide
When a supported contact form is enabled, the site may collect the information shown on that form, such as your name, contact information, property or organization, and project details. A request is treated as submitted only after the site displays a successful delivery confirmation.
Technical information
The web server and security tools may process routine technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps, and diagnostic or security events.
Cloudflare Turnstile
When a protected form is displayed or submitted, Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical and security signals to help distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. These signals may include IP address, browser and device characteristics, user agent, TLS/client characteristics, site key, website origin, interaction timing, and verification results. Cloudflare acts as a service provider for this security check; its own privacy terms also apply. Turnstile is a bot-validation control and not a promise of a specific per-IP submission limit.
Form submissions and retention
Successful website form submissions are stored in this WordPress site for 90 days and then scheduled for deletion. Internal notification and visitor acknowledgment emails are separate copies and may be retained under the recipient mailbox's operational, legal, or recordkeeping practices. Failed Turnstile or honeypot checks are intended to be rejected without creating a stored form submission or sending form notifications.
Tawk.to live chat
If live chat is enabled, Scan Tech Security uses Tawk.to to provide the chat interface and related visitor notifications. Loading or using the widget may allow Tawk.to to process your public IP address, approximate location, browser and device information, referring and requested pages, timestamps, session or usage information, and diagnostic or security events. If you start a conversation or leave an offline message, Tawk.to also processes the chat messages and contact details you choose to provide.
The widget is configured to request consent before chat begins. Tawk.to states that its widget cookies or local-storage items are not set until you accept the consent request. The widget may still connect to Tawk.to infrastructure and process technical connection information needed to display the consent choice. If you decline, the chat feature will not be available, but you may continue using the site's core content.
Tawk.to states that service data are stored in the United States and that content may be cached through a global content-delivery network. Tawk.to may use infrastructure and service providers listed in its subprocessor information. Review the Tawk.to Privacy Policy for more information about its practices.
Tawk.to states that chat and ticket history is retained until they are deleted by the account holder or a deletion request is processed. Live-chat records are separate from website form submissions and are not covered by the form-submission 90-day retention setting. Do not send highly sensitive information through chat. The live-chat feature is not an emergency or dispatch service.
Media and other third-party services
Embedded media, maps, financing tools, analytics, form services, or other third-party features may receive technical information when loaded. Only approved services should be enabled, and their own privacy terms apply.
Cookies and analytics
Optional browser analytics or advertising tools must remain disabled unless configured and permitted by the applicable consent process. Declining optional tracking should not prevent access to core site content.
How information is used
Information may be used to respond to inquiries, assess project needs, provide requested services, maintain the website, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and protect users or systems.
Retention and sharing
Information should be retained only as long as reasonably needed for the stated purpose, legal requirements, security, or recordkeeping. It may be shared with service providers when necessary to operate the website or deliver an approved service, subject to appropriate agreements.
Your choices
You may ask about information associated with an inquiry through Call 248-747-3055. Requests are handled subject to identity verification and applicable law.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated when website features, providers, or legal requirements change. The revision date above identifies the current version.
